Black Petunias, the Little Black Dress of Annuals

Posted at June 6, 2012 | By : | Categories : Annuals | 0 Comment

Woman know that finding the perfect little black dress can make you feel great and gives you a dress that you can pair with anything else in your closet (like those red high heels you can’t wear with anything else).  The newest petunia is attempting to be that little black dress for your yard and your containers.  Because of it’s color, it literally goes with everything!

In this combination the beautiful black flowers pair nicely with the delicate white flowers of Euphorbia and a purple verbena.

The delicate and bright flowers of lantana and torenia are contrasted by the black petunia, which also ties in the darker colored strobilanthes.

This last combination is more striking, using a very bright pink coleus and sweet potato vine.

This versatile petunia provides a depth of color that isn’t available in other plants and can add some drama for your containers and flower beds.  We have plenty to choose from in 4″ pots.
